Flood recovery tracking and field app, Wyalkatchem
A GPS-linked tracking system and Android field app that ran 155 flood-repair works across the Shire of Wyalkatchem's road network, from inspection photographs to the disaster-recovery funding claim.
The work
A PHP system processed the inspection photographs, imprinting their GPS coordinates and querying the Main Roads WA API for each site's road name, road number and straight-line kilometre. It fed Excel and VBA task lists with direct map links, so every item could be located precisely in Google Maps and ArcGIS.
The same system compiled the evidence for the WANDRRA disaster-recovery funding claim. An Android application listed every repair item with live map-based navigation by road name, road number, straight-line kilometre and task reference, and contractors used it during delivery to cut coordination and travel time.
