Tailings-dam raise front-end loading, Saraji Mine

The work

The 18-month front-end-loading phase defined the $25 million raise and carried it through HAZOP and HAZID reviews, under BHP's standard project requirements.

The raise scope included flow meters and observation cameras on telemetry, a haul-road upgrade, 7 km of tailings pipeline and new tailings pumps at the coal handling and preparation plant.
