Tailings-dam raise project controls, Blackwater mine

Project controls for the execution phase of a tailings-dam raise at BMA's Blackwater mine: Excel workbooks with dashboards and automated reporting for schedules, quality assurance, variations and cost, and GIS data brought into the CAD workflow to place new works exactly.

The work

Excel workbooks with dashboards and automated reporting carried the quality-assurance records, variations, progress reporting and cost estimation and tracking, and produced the weekly progress and milestone reports.

GIS data was integrated into the CAD workflow so new works were placed precisely against existing site conditions and survey data.
